I am a qualified supervisor, with a diploma in counselling supervision. I offer supervision to counsellors – both to trainees and to those who are trained and working in organisations or private practice. I also provide supervision to frontline workers in charities and to health professionals
I really enjoy supervision. I am an engaged, constructive and supportive supervisor. I work in an integrative way as a supervisor and my supervision training included attention to the professional and personal aspects of the therapist and the relationships between therapist and client, therapist and organisation, and beyond.
I provide external supervision to organisations including a charity supporting victims of trafficking, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, a postnatal charity, a rape and sexual abuse charity and a carers support centre. I supervise frontline workers, caseworkers and counsellors. I also supervise counsellors in private practice.
My associated work includes running several reflective practice groups for the frontline staff of the homelessness charity St Mungo’s.
My standard fee for supervision is £50 for 60 minutes. This rate is negotiable for charitable organisations. I also offer a concessionary rate to trainee counsellors on placements and to those setting up in private practice. I have previous experience of mentoring trainee counsellors in an agency setting and of supervision in a different role but with many overlapping features to counselling.
I offer group supervision and reflective practice in groups for organisations and do a lot of work around recognising and preventing burnout and secondary trauma. For more details, please get in contact.
