About me

I provide a calm and supportive environment that is confidential and private. I have a positive, constructive approach to counselling and work both long and short term.

I offer one-to-one, face-to-face and online counselling for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes long and can run from six sessions to six months or more. I work a lot with anxiety using both person-centred and CBT approaches. It’s common for me to work with anxiety, stress, burnout, work-related issues, bereavement, abuse, relationship issues and parenting issues.

Clients are not restricted to a set number of sessions and I hold regular reviews to assess progress.

I regularly work with NHS frontline workers, staff facing pressures in the corporate sector, actors – particularly in theatre, and those working in the not-for-profit sector. I help clients recognise the signs of stress and burnout so they can start to recover and have better coping strategies.

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk). I have an MSc in counselling.

My background

I have always worked in helping roles. I began my career over 25 years ago. I spent many years as a legal representatives and then a manager in a large organisation that specialised in human rights law.

I relocated to Bristol from London fifteen years ago and retrained as a counsellor. During the past eleven years I have worked in counselling roles and supervisory roles for a range of organisations from large corporate organisations to small local charities.

I set up in private practice in early 2011 and now work full time providing counselling, supervision, EMDR, coaching and training within private practice.

I completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling at the University of Bristol in 2010. I was awarded an MSc in Counselling, also from the University of Bristol, in 2012. I qualified as a counselling supervisor in January 2015 and provide supervision to other counsellors and healthcare professionals
